The way he holds the pen gets me every time. I'm sitting here trying to emulate it. I can't.

That's probably a good thing.

Makes me appreciate Sonichu for the premium publication that it is.
 
Those pen grips look physically agonizing to maintain for any length of time. I know Chris is an idiot, but the sheer level of autism needed to maintain this style for so long is just staggering. The lack of physical coordination makes me wonder how an earth he ever got a driver's license.

Edit: Wait! Isn't this like the first time that he's ever complimented someone else's fan art of sonichu? I mean, he's still not acknowledging that it's better than his scribbles, but... Is Chris getting better?

Actually Chris has complimented fanart before. His compliments tend to sound kind of condescending, but I don't think it's intentional. For instance there was a nice piece of fanart with Sonichu and Rosechu dancing that he received, which he proceeded to draw "correctly" because the artist got Rosechu's tail wrong. I don't think he has the visual acuity to tell good art from bad, but he can see if a character is wearing the right colored shoes or some details like that. If I can access the cwcki I post the video.

This planet Dolan thing is probably the best thing to happen to Chris in a long time, Doopie stalking notwithstanding.

I like how he draws Sonichu with sneakers instead of the dress shoes in the fan art.
