But did anyone else notice about a month ago Def Noodles decided to kill off his “parody character?” And is now making his retard videos as himself? They’re basically the same videos, he’s just not screaming constantly and doesn’t have his “costume” on.

I've been checking on a guy named "kleeh1954". 6 years worth of autism on his Youtube, including a failed editing career, a logo obsession, an attempt at being the new SilvaGunner and more.
Most of his videos the past year have been like the last, him playing with paper cutouts of his favorite cartoon characters. He's been posting them to his TikTok, where he also publishes his Youtube Poops.

His early videos had such a perfect balance of clear explanations with a visual component and a sense of humour - making him one of the few educational Youtubers who is genuinely worth rewatching. He's spawned so many imitators, and yet it's something few of his imitators manage to replacate. The frustration has always been that there isn't nearly enough of him.
And every so often, there will be a content drought from him, only for it to turn out he sank multiple months into some fruitless research tangent, and that tangent ended up becoming The Content. As the title of the video alludes to, this has happened before, in a big way.
I mention early videos, because he seems to have graduated from obscure trivia to the purely trivial. His "Hexagons are Bestagons" was a forced meme from start to finish. "Metric Paper" was a barely-improved remake of Powers of Ten (1977). And his recent video about the Tiffany problem - which he mostly ended up debunking* - was the kind of faggotry I'd expect from Name Explain.
(*This was actually what led to the tangent, since it ruined the point he was trying to make in the video. And all that effort to try and prove the name's ancient origins was an attempt to justify a sunk cost.)
The shift in focus seems to have happened around the time he got big on Patreon (which he plugs at the end of this video). He's one of the most well-paid creators on the platform, and earns around $40k a month, which he seems to be treating as a license to do whatever he wants.
Every so often, he strikes gold, like with "Humans Need Not Apply", but that was a while ago (and it will age poorly if self-driving cars aren't commonplace by the end of the decade), and classics like this are fewer and further between. I thought the Patreon pounds might speed up his production, but it seems to have done the exact opposite.
He also started a series on Indian reservations, which would have been a fine addition to his videos about countries and borders, their internal processes, etc. But disappointingly, all he's put out so far (in almost 2 years!) is the introductory segment on why it's okay to call them Indians.
And whenever he plugs his Patreon, he faux-humbly urges people without disposable income - and students in particular - not to support him. He doesn't seem to realise that 1) people without disposable income generally don't squander their rent money on crowdfunding youtubers, and 2) students can and do have disposable income!

There was something attaching to his narration that really worked well for some time. I started losing interest in his videos since he started focusing about elections, politics and all that stuff which is simply biased. I remember him watching some footage of some meeting with his fellow and adoring that one of Danish minister was wearing Apple Watch which in his eyes was the symbol of utmost productivity and social status as any other manchild would perceive Apple products.
I was in awe watching "Humans Need Not Apply" and I have watched that several times and still I am under impression that this is really well described trans-humanism for common folks. Still, this is the only video that comes to my mind which held such high quality.
