I feel like I learned more about video game hit detection with this (including pitfalls and oversights therein) than I ever did any shitty fucking XNA/Unity tutorial.

Actually, dissecting games with hacks/mods in general has been much more educational. Learning how a even a masterpiece was far from perfect and why it works the way it does is a valuable experience.

I don't know if it's the algorithm being horseshit and trying in vain to spice up my feed but it seems like whenever I check out the YouTube home page or even the sidebar there's at least one suggested channel/video with less than a hundred views, or something that just got posted like an hour or two ago from a brand new account. It's ranged from absolute nobody gaming channels to foreign clickbait spam to videos of nonverbal autists recording the toilet flushing on their train (seriously though there are entire channels of people documenting stuff like this: toilets, hand dryers, sinks etc.). Has anyone else noticed this whenever they check the home page/their suggested feed? Is this just a curse I have to bear for clicking on one of them out of curiosity?

There's at least one that literally used to record himself shit or masturbate and clickbait it as an "tv footage archive" or "death annoncment" video.
And yes the people who he announce there deaths are still alive and well, one of them even saw the MASSIVE campign this autist had againest him seemingly wanting him to DIE, with these "RIP [random hungarian TV celebrity] 1984-2024" videos
He's ALWAYS ripping off someone else, useally an vhs archiving youtuber, many from the hungarian scene.
This guy's up on youtube probably since 2018 but has 100's of channels, and me and a group i was in used to strike the shit out of him back in the day, so this era of complete retard behaviour is over, although here are some of his channels which are still up

He hits all the NPC points:
  • Still loves immigration and supports even more immigration even though immigration is actively destroying his "home".
    • Mad he can't get his kid into a free NYC daycare (unlike Sweden!!!) because of those pesky "migrants".
  • Mad that NYC won't open up more legal weed stores.
  • NYC is still totally great and worth it, just, you know, not for me now that I have a family.
  • The taxes are too high but we should all still pay our fair share. (????)
  • Also somehow a PRC propaganda piece.
There's a happy ending though: he just moves to New Jersey so won't fuck up another innocent state, for now.

I remember watching this guy and thinking "wow he can speak another language that's cool" and never clicking anything of his again.

You're close to 100% correct in most cases, and if it's some weird autistic technical discovery credited to a 'she' you are actually just 100% correct. The biggest shock of this video is that a few times he says she and it cuts to footage of an actual fucking woman playing and it was like seeing a unicorn. Summoning Salt could never.

I get vibes like he actually had a nervous breakdown at some point or something. He’s made some decent (IMO) vids in the past but it’s been years since he’s done anything I’d consider watching. His recent Dan Schneider one was OK but nothing really that interesting or worthwhile.

Forgot this was even coming out until it hit my subscriber feed. Video essayist wanted to watch North Korean films, went down a crazy rabbit hole, and collectively reviews every piece of North Korean media he can possibly find. Five and half hours long.
