Culture YouTube releases it's YouTube Rewind for 2018

Usually these things are masturbatory self-indulgences for the YT community featuring a lot of e-celebs. They start off with PewDiePie declaring "YEAR REWIND" and then showing some dumb shit for the fans.

This one
  • Starts with Will Smith (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • Has Ninja (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • A Fortnite gag.
  • No PDP because he said the word NIGGER.
  • A bunch of people no one cares about.
  • An entire two minute long scene celebrating diversity, women, and non-whites.
  • Locked chat with the people in the video watching it together and live commenting with the most cringe inducing shit I've ever fucking seen.
Currently it's at about 70% dislikes and sinking. The comments are tearing it to shit. For all the talk of diversity, one commenter from Brasil pointed out that there are no Brazilian YouTubers present. Sorry menino, you faggots don't wear hijabs and don't hate Trump enough. Better luck in 2019.

It took Friday 7 years to get that many dislikes yet it only took Youtube a day to get that many dislikes by making the worst and cringiest video imaginable. At this rate they'll become the second most disliked video (4 million) by tomorrow and the most disliked (9mil) in maybe a few weeks or so. Bravo Youtube on this spectacular failure.

as shit as this Youtube Rewind was (and believe me, it was pretty bad) the fact that the Paul brothers weren't in this makes this slightly better than 2017's Youtube Rewind. Had they been in the video, they would have painted as angels

Its at 3.6 mil now. Just 400k more to go until it becomes the second most disliked video.
 
I'd love to see the breakdown of which parts generated the most dislikes. I imagine there's a few spikes with the cringy shit at the beginning, a big spike when they mention mental health, and then a huge 30-second plateau when they start with the #metoo, drag queens, and refugee shout outs.

EDIT: Wait a minute, the video only has 3.8 million dislikes right now, why does Wikipedia show it as 4.04? I don't want to speculate that YouTube's trying to "fix" the numbers, but a 200k difference is too big.

I sub to Safiya and completely agree. Her videos are excruciatingly formulaic and everything she does is 100% predictable, if there's a trend that 3 other channels has done you can guarantee Safiya will do it. Her videos are only really good as background noise, or if you're more interested in what she's talking about than what she's saying about it while not giving enough of a shit to look it up separate from her videos.

But she's half-white (or something) and a woman, and her cameraman is Asian so she gets extra diversity points for youtube, especially the "beauty """"guru""""/reviewer" community.
