Culture YouTube releases it's YouTube Rewind for 2018

Usually these things are masturbatory self-indulgences for the YT community featuring a lot of e-celebs. They start off with PewDiePie declaring "YEAR REWIND" and then showing some dumb shit for the fans.

This one
  • Starts with Will Smith (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • Has Ninja (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • A Fortnite gag.
  • No PDP because he said the word NIGGER.
  • A bunch of people no one cares about.
  • An entire two minute long scene celebrating diversity, women, and non-whites.
  • Locked chat with the people in the video watching it together and live commenting with the most cringe inducing shit I've ever fucking seen.
Currently it's at about 70% dislikes and sinking. The comments are tearing it to shit. For all the talk of diversity, one commenter from Brasil pointed out that there are no Brazilian YouTubers present. Sorry menino, you faggots don't wear hijabs and don't hate Trump enough. Better luck in 2019.

You know what guys. I think all in all this might be the best youtube rewind ever. Because it's really direct and honest with how out of touch and autistic youtube is. They are in essence making content and pandering to "their audience" And I am glad I am not in that audience.

And honestly I don't care about algorithms demonetization and what they promote. I do however know that they have written a good algorithm for giving people relevant content that is tailor made to what you like to watch. And would wish they wouldn't change that. My preferences are more important then what they think is acceptable to watch according to what ever agenda they have.
As long as they don't outright censor people as they did with ralph retort over political censorship, I wouldn't really complain though.
 
Some how it got even worse. I didn't think anything would be worse than 2016s but then 2017 came out and blew me away with how shit it trully was and you tube has become. I thought that was truly rock bottom but somehow they made it even WORSE than 2017.

It’s incredible how, despite the bright colors and obnoxious music, lifeless and plastic the whole thing feels. Sign on a bunch boring attractive people in your year end video and you too can try to convince the world that things are A-OK.
 
I've been watching youtube almost daily for pretty much a decade now , yet I recognize none of these people (and many other people have already said that as well) .

I think this is pretty telling and self-explanatory of how out of touch the whole plataform is.
 
Never expect good from people who have contempt for their own customers. Not even once. People greedy and hateful enough to punish the hand that feeds them are rotten to the core.
