Usually these things are masturbatory self-indulgences for the YT community featuring a lot of e-celebs. They start off with PewDiePie declaring "YEAR REWIND" and then showing some dumb shit for the fans.

This one
  • Starts with Will Smith (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • Has Ninja (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • A Fortnite gag.
  • No PDP because he said the word NIGGER.
  • A bunch of people no one cares about.
  • An entire two minute long scene celebrating diversity, women, and non-whites.
  • Locked chat with the people in the video watching it together and live commenting with the most cringe inducing shit I've ever fucking seen.
Currently it's at about 70% dislikes and sinking. The comments are tearing it to shit. For all the talk of diversity, one commenter from Brasil pointed out that there are no Brazilian YouTubers present. Sorry menino, you faggots don't wear hijabs and don't hate Trump enough. Better luck in 2019.

I love cringy compilations, ngl. That's my favourite part of december. And I have no problem with Will Smith being part of this, come on, he's like ten seconds.

Everything else sucked. It felt so disconnected. You can't even say "well, it appeals the normies" because many normies I know also felt very let down by it. It was preachy and boring. And very low effort. You can tell that they know the things people love were also very politically incorrect, so they tried to preach on us instead: "but guys,guys... who cares about that youtube who said the n-word or that racist african meme when we help refugees, I mean, we don't actually help them ourselves, but we love that someone, anyone, does.. aren't we the best people ever??".

I’ve never watched a YouTube Rewind and I don’t plan to change that any time soon. I just find it funny how everyone talks about how bad it is as if they didn’t expect that.

Just yesterday, on /r/politics, when I was laughing about Cheeto Drumpf and how some Nazi got banned for saying something doubleplusungood, I too was thinking about all the poor Islamic children, those poor children, with their beautiful, loving religion (not like Christianity lol GOD IS DEAD) discriminated against by the lower-class dicks I hate but pretend to look out for with my proposed fiscal policies, and I realized that... well, I didn't realize anything at all, I just believe what San Fran tech companies believe because I'm a moral and ethical person. I don't see what's wrong with this youtube rewind at all.
