Your New Year's resolutions for 2020 - What do you want to improve?

Veganuary is for fucking losers but I do find myself in the position of wanting to consume more ethically. To that end I have resolved to do a supermarket free February. I want to see if I can live entirely out of small, independent shops, locally produced, seasonal produce and a less meat focused diet.

I succeeded at last years resolution, so I think I can do this one. My goal is to get in better shape. We got a treadmill, and I've already been running on it every morning.

Ah, resolutions.... Fun to make, but hard to keep. I actually have some of my own.
  1. Start reading again. I have 5 books to read, but I keep finding myself distracted.
  2. Finish my game backlog.
  3. Go back to school.
  4. Learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.
  5. Cut down on the carbonated drinks.
  6. Work on my social anxiety.

  • Do something with art or music twice a week
  • Exercise for 15 minutes or more three days a week
  • Get my drivers license
  • Get over my fears and finish the grad school application
  • If I can, get a job that I can do while in grad school
  • Read an actual book daily

  1. Focus on giving my all into my final semester(!)- I only have one class that meets once a week, but that's no excuse to slip up and goof off! Especially since I'm coasting with an "A" average. 8)
  2. Keep in shape and try drinking soda from once a week to once every 2 weeks
  3. Actually go on spring break with friends
  4. Get a part-time job at an administrative field (within my marketing major- I already completed an internship)
  5. Read more novels and classics
  6. Practice drawing more
  7. STOP GOING TO BED AT FUCKING 3 IN THE MORNING
  8. GRADUATE!

aw shit, i completely forgot about resolutions...
hm... well, to start, i'll try to get a healthy sleep schedule again, since im currently staying up til 5 am
and maybe getting my drivers license wouldn't hurt
and, yknow, live a healthier lifestyle in general. make smarter meal choices, get outta the house more, etc.

thats a really short list but, yknow, what can you do

Branch out in my hobbies/projects. Doing the same thing can get boring sometimes and the only way to develop new skills is to try doing something new.

Also I'm going to try to be a bit more social. Either on here or elsewhere, my social skills are terrible and being more sociable is always a good skill to have. Of course personalities may not blend well, but that's never been something I dwelled on in the past.

And maybe try to go to the gym or work out a bit more. There are ways to handle a certain issue I will face all my life that can be fought off with excercize and sleeping regularly. Taking care of myself hasn't been a number one priority and I really need to start changing that.

I haven't had a real job since 2007. I want to continue that.
I want to continue not writing the second book I started in 2016.
I want to continue not leaving the house and having everything delivered.
I want to antagonize more random people online than I did in 2019. I feel I have slacked off in that respect.
Maybe get a bigger computer screen and a 10TB hard drive. For stuff.

I had an idea for a character who’s like a cross between Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog, so I guess do something with that and get rich.

That's usually the point where the sudden influx of other joggers and cyclists on my running route starts to slow down. By February none of the people with the brand new running shoes and shiny new bikes are seen again. Like, bye bitches
True and it's not a secret. All discounters in my area are selling work out gear and stuff for camping all of a sudden. Some even started to sell sketchbooks for a good price.
