Canon law does not require you to attend your local parish church, but it does recommend it based on the community aspect. Which is why I said it’s difficult to actually get a headcount on those who would otherwise attend TLM if it were more readily available. Also it’s not unusual for a mainstream Vatican II church to offer both TLM and Novus Ordo, that is if you have a priest qualified to perform both. Though as I said, the Church proper is trying to phase it out. SSPX is kind of it’s own thing, it’s outreach isn’t that large. That's more because according to Church canon law you are supposed to go to the local parish assigned to where you live in, if anything it's historically unprecedented to allow different rites within the same region and have people pick and choose as if they were doing some kind of church shopping.
I don’t think Kanye knows the difference between a Catholic and a Protestant, let alone the different schisms within the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church. We sure as hell know that Nick doesn’t understand what it actually means to be a traditionalist Catholic, his piss poor theological debates have shown as much.Manic as he may be I'm sure Kanye has little motive to get involved with these extremely niche groups, or that he has a need to somehow feel "different" from surrounding Christians -- he sure seems to think of himself as different enough. Besides if he were to comply with the fact he can't marry again after a divorce then I'm sure stuff like obedience to what's essentially your assigned superior should be rather easy, and however unlikely a humble behavior sounds for one of the most ego-bloated men on Earth I still believe that's more likely to happen than the alternative of becoming a part of these religious-political contrarian organizations or to become involved with schismatic groups like the SSPX.
