This thread really takes me back, but, to my shame I bought 5K when it was 18 cents or so quite awhile back determined to sell it at $3.00 when the 2017 madness hit again. I was feeling fairly clever a couple of weeks ago. Ah, well. I also bought a similar stack of $DOT about the same time.
 
 
Holding $10k of XRP can't do fucking shit with while GME, AME, NOK moon and I'm locked out of my account due to 2FA and losing my passport while here in a fucking foreign country

What's the attraction to XRP? Isn't it un-mineable ? Proof of stake or whatever--ie only buy in ?

Looks like that was an error of some sort, currently the trading volume of XRP for yesterday was 11 billion US.


It's also dumping hard at the moment, but that's ok, I'm still a long way off from my buy in.

Pretty much. I'll buy in when it has its first major drop, but not staking heavy on XRP. Of all the cryptos, seeing the previous drop from awhile back, I'm reluctant to get into it heavily due to that risk
 
I flipped some Link for a quick $100 last summer. I was going to buy some Ripple, but withdrew it the funds and spent the money on beer and pizza instead when I had some friends over one night. Absolutely kicking myself now. Could have had $840 in my pocket.
 
XRP is one of my minor hodls. The schitzos supporters make it seem embarrassing to keep, but they also seem like a legit business that is doing a lot of real world work to make their product.

I dunno, I've always held a few thousand, expecting it to be a constant wobble that I'll regret not putting into something like Dot before it 10xed.

Now that it's being successful, I'm almost more confused and angry at it, than I am happy.
