Still, NNTP is absolutely the right way to go for decentralized forums. It's proven itself for over 20 years, and the niggercattle are too stupid to connect to it. (That's a feature, not a bug)
Over 35 years. The protocol was defined in 1986, although Usenet itself came into existence in 1979.

Xenforo needs to personally endorse your site, its content and participants or they yank your license. I hope them stating this comes back to bite them in the ass if the retards that complain about "hatespeech" decide to sue them and they try to pull the "we don't endorse the opinions of the people that use our product" card.

It should be an absolute embarrassment to Xenforo to have embarrassed themselves in such a pathetic way. Extremist leftist wokeshit is not going to be popular ten years from now and your siding with this crap will be a fucking embarrassment.

Jesus Christ.
This whole board moderators sounds like a bunch of DSP's based on the screenshot.

Was about post that screenshot of the post above (archived). Yeah, way to go – show off how you proudly ban anybody if some slight ruckus occurs, how you are ready to revoke any license.

Sure makes me want to do business with ThemeHouse and XenForo if it ever came to that/I was a current customer knowing they will go above and beyond to throw me over overboard when it comes to it.

This is just the sign of a business that can't be trusted. By anyone. Because if they get harassed by anyone at all, they'll just cancel service. Don't do business with little worms like this, ever.

Thanks for your brave defense of child molesters, Michael Creuzer.

It's just nice to see how people's true colors come out when they get a few tickets from random whiners that they don't like something. Free speech really is an incredibly fragile thing when push comes to shove. What all those assholes don't seem to understand is that anyone that cuts off Kiwi Farms just because they don't like their content is suddenly barreling down a slippery slope at breakneck speeds. If you're willing to kow-tow to random internet whiners, who's next? Your state or federal government? A foreign government, such as China or Russia? Where does it stop? Once you're on that slippery slope, the only stop is the very hard and final one at the end which is a wall that represents the integrity and freedom that you had and believed in at one point.

Hmm, that makes me wonder... is it illegal to discriminate against someone for being a chicom in the US?

I guess it probably is, because national origin is a protected characteristic.

It was created by a co-founder of reddit.
And it was the first (and for a long time only) site dumb enough to use it for comment formatting

Markdown was created by John Gruber, who had nothing to do with Reddit as far as I can see. He originally created it to help in writing his long-running blog Daring Fireball. You might be right regarding Reddit specifically in regards to comments, but it was in common use in various blogging platforms before that.

It's irrelevant at any rate. Regardless of who created Markdown or how it became popular, it's still much more pleasant to use than BBCode.

... and Aaron Swartz aka that Reddit guy who killed himself to avoid prison
Okay, after a bit of research, I guess you're right. I completely forgot about him (he being dead didn't help) and thought Markdown was entirely Gruber's creation.

Regardless, as I said, it doesn't matter. Markdown could have been created by double Hitler and it would still be superior to BBCode.
