The cop-out answer would be the other big console manufacturers and Valve, consitering the immense number of IPs and Studios under the Microsoft/Xbox umbrella, and if they made them purely exclusive to thier platforms... well they got some serious money they could make simply by having some of the most nostalgic (and maybe some big ones like CoD or Overwatch) gaming IPs they could reasonably ask for.

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if Elon ended up buying it for pennies on the dollar as way to stoke his gamer ego and way to expand the “x” brand… and conveniently enough, he wouldn’t even need to do a rebrand or anything.

...and run literally any other software you want (Windows or Linux-compatible) because it's a full-fledged computer, not just a console, which is the detail every console peasant always conveniently forgets when they sperg about how PCs "can't do much." Let me know when you can run an IDE or word processor on an Xbox or PS5 (and whatever hacked-up horseshit you can dream up in the gimped built-in web browser doesn't count).

Only Sony could possibly afford this and there's no way they could possibly justify this level of expenditure and Valve would have no reason to buy any of these garbage IPs (and most of them are already on the Steam Store).
It's truly a product that almost no one could afford and the few that could really don't need it. There's no reason not to let Xbox destroy itself first and then just pick up the parts you want in the firesale that's going to follow.

I think it’s because people who are nostalgic for the past when Xbox was good are desperately grasping at any sign that the company might actually get a win, even though they keep floundering and failing to do so because Microslop higher ups are a group of masochists who hate making money.
To be fair, it'll still be running Steams version of Linux so it won't be that simple in reality.
The Deck requires a decent bit of tinkering with settings to get some stuff running properly and the Machine won't be any different.
The biggest example will be GTA 5. Normal people will be wondering why they can't log into GTA Online on their brand new €1000+ Steam "console".

If this really comes to pass it's far more likely Microsoft hold a yard sale for their IPs and studios instead of bundling it all under the Xbox umbrella, because what's the point in buying the rights to Xbox when the brand is poisoned beyond repair.
It would be interesting to see who turned up for what, (imagine if Nintendo decided to buy back Rare,) but in reality probably Tencent picks up the lion's share then shuts it all down like usual.
