Iirc in OG gears of war women werent allowed to be COGs, I could be wrong but I think I remember that from the lore. This was retcon'd for 3 and Judgement for probably pretty obvious modern day reasons but what's funny is that is also when Gears of War started losing relevance. How does one go broke again
Gamepass and PS+ have made it so that I straight up don't buy games any more.
I'll find the cheapest yearly sub I can for either/both and there will almost certainly be one or two games a month added that I want to play so after 2 or 3 months I'm already ahead on what I'd actually spend buying stuff.
The only platform I still buy stuff on is Steam and that's a combo of frequent dirt cheap deals and grey market CD keys. I got a Steam Deck at the tail end of last year and buying 2025 stuff for €15 quid that runs fairly well on it fucking rules. Also, you can just stream your Gamepass and PS5 stuff on it anyway.
If the average person knew how cheap gaming can be then the AAA market would be in serious trouble. CoD, yearly sports games and micro transactions are the main thing keeping the whole shitshow going.
