Xbox Game Studios Stupidity Hate Thread Game Pass Edition
Every mainline Skylander game's currently in the top 10 of the Xbox Game Preservation leaderboard as of today. As much as I like the series, I hope some of the other games on the list like Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions and Def Jam: Fight for NY get some attention too.
I’m pretty sure the Skylanders series has been discontinued. Hell, I think some of those Skylanders titles are on Xbox One. I say this because you need a gadget with some figurines to play Skylanders. I doubt Activision would resume manufacturing of those figurines since the toys to life trend has died out.
Closest racing game I could see to be BC would be Midnight Club 2 since it’s a Rockstar title and does not have any licensed cars.
The only way I could see it working as buyable games for Skylanders and any other Toys to Life game for current consoles/PC digitally would have been if they were basically modded to allow you to just pick any character by nature of fake figurines in the same way as Amiibo spoofing (Skylander figures do use NFC as well IIRC)
Xbox should just drop out of the race at this point. Them (and Sony to an extent) have become the new SEGA in which they are more a third-party company making games for other systems.
The only difference is that unlike SEGA, Xbox/Sony is purposefully ignoring the writing on the wall while trying to keep their zombies alive for as long as possible.

The two are waiting each other out, because whoever ends up surviving is going to make a killing on the console tard market. The industry could always only support two consoles, and Nintendo has the kids and mankids locked down.

This is also the biggest console generation to lose (to date) because Sony and Microsoft both invested so much money in buying so many studios that a tactical retreat at this point is losing billions of dollars. There's very little chance that whoever backs out first isn't just going to have a firesale of various underperforming studios to get absorbed by the other.
It's honestly been a weird console generation. There's nearly no solid console exclusives, and even for those that are, you can easily find something very similar available on multiple platforms.
Then there'd been the massive amount of live service shooters that have come out and died, costing tens of millions in the process (being very generous).

It's got to be soul-crushing to have to spend your time making skins and cosmetics that only 3-5% of players will ever even buy/download, much less actually use.
