There's this old video that I cannot remember who the fuck made it, but he used to go around to all these different mobile games and highlight their exploitative and scummy scams. The interesting part was in every "competitive" (ie spenders) guild he managed to join every player would vehemently deny spending and claim to be f2p, or say "i only spend 20$ i'm not a retard lol" despite much like DSP here being a very obvious lie. The only ones who take pride in it are drooling retards who are neets and have absolutely nothing else in their lives but a mobile game roster built by tugboat bucks. They're also the type of people who are terrible at video games, like if you put them in any skill based pvp game they'd rage the fuck out and cry, being able to press a button that makes their jpegs auto win is their ceiling. One of the games featured in the video was some marvel game where it was like minimum 1400 USD just to "5-star" a single character on your roster. Imagine spending 1400 on a jpeg, you could build a very good gaming computer, or multiple consoles and AAA games. Although now AAA studios just push out mobile game tier garbage with the same exploitative tactics, all because of retards like phil.
 
Anyone know if Scopley has a special chat for big spenders? Lilith, the Chinese mobile company that has Afk Arena and Dislyte, just got exposed for having a private chat room for big spenders that get to provide "suggestions or feedback" for the game. I wouldn't be surprised if Scopley has a room and Phil is one of the members with all the money he spends on Hogans. Btw, don't play Dislyte. It's a shitty Chinese Raid knockoff with urban hip-hop and electronic music, and the community is full of creeps and woke fags (the community kinda deserves its own thread with some of the shit going on).

Being a former whale, it's humiliating when you still can't beat people at pvp and more embarrassing you can't beat PvE content. It's scummy how these mobile games will secretly make it harder so it makes you spend money (they do this to screw over f2p players that can hit top ranks in events, hoping they'll resort to spending). Valkyrie Connect and Summoner's War-like games are infamous for this (especially Raid and Dislyte. Being f2p in Raid is harder now). I remember one neet tard in Blood Brothers 2 who spazzed and bitched like a faggot when f2p players were hitting top 100-500 ranks when he was forking thousand of dollars. Fun times. Dislyte has a gacha system where you have to spend at least $5-10k just to get a guaranteed event character at 350 pulls. It was much worse when it started out with 850 pulls for a guaranteed event character (I'm not kidding. It took 850 pulls or almost $50-100k to get a faggot that kinda sucks at the game).

these games also infamously allow cheaters to rank the leader board as it creates artificial competition and spending. Watch the video I posted a couple pages back "let's go whaling". Everything is purposely designed to exploit you, which is why no one should play these garbage games. Read kiwi farms when you take a shit instead. Sadly it's too late, retards have proven to be far too profitable and far too willing to spend obscene amounts of money for legitimately no value.

As he's spent the equivalent of a house on it he'd be getting ripped off....even more....if he wasn't getting some serious special consideration. And I mean more than a name change or two. Laying down this sort of dosh in Vegas would get you all sorts of free comps. A buffet, paid room, concierge service, maybe even a hooker in the old days. The least they could do is set up a special chatroom for their MVPs.

Kinda weird how he's exactly like one of his closest paypigs and Scopely takes a position just like his and he just takes the massive disrespect and abuse Scopely hurls at him but simply doesn't care. Its DSPs all the way down.

1. Phil has probably spent considerably more than this guy. Granted it seems this guy spent to 100k over a shorter period but

2. the guy came to his senses at least partially eventually and much sooner while phil is still whaling hard.

3. Although Diablo Immortal is a bad game its still a much better one in almost all aspects than Champions.

4. this guy is willing to admit it while Phil hides his addiction and scams children to feed it.

That last sentence. The idea that the weakest among us have held the most influence over the majority of the gaming sphere the past half-decade or more really starts to make my blood boil.

Gaming as a whole used to be good. Fun, even. Now all of that development infrastructure that used to make worthwhile games like the old CoDs and Battlefields and GTAs and Halos and Maddens and whatever else is now just used to produce nothing more than a barely-passable experience that exists for no other reason than to be a vehicle to entice a few insecure, weak-willed faggots like Phil to whale out and spend thousands on skins and P2W bullshit.

All of those talented development studios, once used to make games for everyone to enjoy, are now just utilized to shit out another Raid Shadow Legends knockoff, targeting people like Phil in a thinly-veiled attempt to siphon every penny from his bank account. Think about all the great games we’ve missed out on because all of the talent and infrastructure was being used for this crap instead of making anything of value.

Take Halo infinite for example. Those scammers at 343 were adamant about “you can get every item in the game just by playing” before release but some tranny on preddit did the math and it would take something like 140 years of playtime to actually achieve that without spending any money. Either that or it just straight up wasn’t possible. I don’t remember, it was a year or so ago.


Take Apex legends as another example. Despite being objectively fun, the entire game is designed around freemium loot boxes and the option to shortcut and just whale out thousands of dollars to get the best skins in the game. The devs went to personally argue with reddit trannies when called out.


And these are just two games I found good enough to spend some time playing. Imagine what other crap is out there that I’m blissfully unaware of.

There are still some good releases, some actual quality games out there, but most releases from large publishers are just full of this cancer now. I hate it.

A couple of things, first personally, you say as a "former whale"; what did it take for you to ditch your whale impulses, you don't have to get specific so your old account gets doxed, just in general I wonder what that journey was like for you from peaking in whaling in whatever it was to deciding to ditch and how that progressed?

As to your suggestion of a thread on the community for that game, you can try if you feel up to it to craft a prospering grounds thread or have one worked up with some help if someone is interested in offering it and if it's entertaining it will be spun out to community watch when it's active and in shape enough to sustain itself, if you'd like.

If I remember right, DSP claimed to be apart of this town hall thru the discord leaks of him talking Champions to other Championers. But honestly probably wasn't true just Phil passing what he herd from whoever his guild leader was at that time. I believe it was uselessness. I say this cause that big Champions Youtuber I cant for the life of me spell his name but it's that GG guy Guersan? fuck me close enough. He made sure DSPs discord was banned from all Champions related discords he was in, including town hall.

I'm not sure about the details about the server this was in, but I think it was non faction specific and open to third parties / any player (before trolling), until it was either nuked or purged, maybe there's still access but it'd be hardly worth the time.
