totally agree. for what it's worth, I can think of at least half a dozen people in my social and work circle who have dropped a shitload of weight while off work. A couple weren't trying at first, but the lack of fast food and cakes and "wickle treatie weaties" at work kick started it, and they built upon that. Others saw the photos of "young and healthy" people dying of it, put two and two together, and decided to lose weight. And others have seen family who were fat die of it, and taken that as a real kick up the butt to start changing their habits. And good for them, really.
I hope this doesn't sound condescending but that sounds like projection so I sincerely hope you're doing alright man and you get better if not, I do realise stuff's pretty bad right now and I don't mean to discount that. My reasoning is literally just that God forbids it.

No. Soap and alcohol aren't something that can easily be adapted to in any reasonable timescale, by either virus or bacteria. Soap especially, as it mechanically destroys the lipid membranes of both, which is why it's such an effective sanitiser. Superbugs, such as MRSA, are the result of overuse of antibiotics, which act against particular biological components of the cell, and to which defences can be evolved by mutating the components that those antibiotics function on.

Wow. That's not at all unhealthy and won't fuck up a lot of people in the long term, right? I've seen a couple I know who work in STEM, in all fairness, spending the last few months losing it completely over everything, being completely and utterly histrionic over this all, but back when it started being a thing, they were the first to REEE "racism!!" at any proposal to close borders. It's just jarring to me, that we're being told on the one hand, you can still go on vacation, both domestically and internationally, but if you see anyone outside your household or "support bubble" then you are LITERALLY MURDERING GRANDMA YOU SELFISH PIECE OF SHIT!!!! How it can be safe to cross international borders for a vacation, but not safe to see a friend, seems a touch contradictory to me.
