On the one hand you have people talking free speech etc. on Weibo and getting increasingly mad at the CCP. Plus the people trying to go out and document the truth, and in some cases getting disappeared for it.

On 8/02 they burned 127 bodies.
Every crematorium in Wuhan is working at maximum capacity, which means they're dealing with similar numbers or worse.
They receive 38% of bodies from the hospital and 61% from homes, suggesting that hospital services have been completely overwhelmed.

This scene would fit so damn well into that movie people wouldn't even notice. It's scarey how close to the script this whole outbreak has been, even down to the government trying to silence problematic journalists.

Still not completely sold on that 40+ day incubation period. The fact that patient may have just been straight up reinfected seems more likely to me at the moment with quarantining being so lax.

I'm behind on WuFlu news lately but I strongly believe that media & health orgs (particularly the latter) have been underplaying or optimistic towards the virus because it's going to slaaam economies. I think I heard somewhere that the effect is already visible. They're trying to keep people from hoarding gold or stashing money under their mattress or something, but it would be much easier to contain w less cleanup & economic devastation later if it was just taken seriously.

Also the bigbrain internet idiots who cited Chinese numbers in the earlier weeks of the outbreak to hurr and durr about how it's actually weaker than seasonal flu can go fuck themselves. yeah China completely shut down its largest transport hub for funsies and is so well-known for acting in abundance of caution in crises and not pushing them under the rug and lying about it.

LOL. Many of the women clinging to immigrants in Sweden are single mothers. I also know way too many dirty bitches with kids and left wing views to ever buy that crap.

As for HMP Bullingdon, that's weird. How the fuck have they been in contact with anyone with the disease? Visitor? Very few Chinese in UK prisons, I think they're one of the smallest populations ethnically-speaking in the prison system as a whole. little bit off topic maybe: And i am prob a horrible person for thinking like this, but before the corona virus outbreak i didn't know much about China or rather was indifferent. But i find myself more and more rooting for the virus the more i learn about the Chinese people, their customs, their total disregard of life in general.

These types of fucking people are everywhere, but owing to China's massive population, they just lucked out and got more of them.
