I don't even know what those games are. If the developer was in fact friends (not a simple acquaintance) with a serious criminal, I'd maybe consider not buying the game.
But I don't see a moral obligation, the dev getting a cut out of a legit product sold to me isn't related with their friendship with that person in a meaningful way, for me to try to individually boycott.
Granted this is all assuming the developer is not actively & willfully enabling criminal behaviour, which is the case for your question.
