The Benefits
  • Gun rights and freedom of speech would open up substantially to the former Canadian populace.
  • Trudeau will no longer have his position of power, most likely being replaced by territorial governors.
  • The sheer amount of new land would allow for a de-congesting of large US cities.
  • Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba will be easier to integrate into American society.
  • Canada's oil and gas deposits would add to America's already large supply, leading to greater revenue from increased exports.
  • The American Revolution will be complete.
The Drawbacks
  • A substantial majority of Canadians will be furious with the loss of the Liberal Mecca.
  • British Columbia and Ontario would take far longer to integrate into American society.
  • Quebec would demand the same treatment they had under Ontario, and most likely try to secede.
  • The US system of healthcare would replace the Canadian model, causing substantial pushback.
  • The Canadian provinces would be first converted into US territories, thus unable to participate in General Elections.
  • Canada's economy would likely still continue to flounder after annexation.
I cannot speak on how the canadian First Nations, as I have little knowlege on them.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

I think the real question is if the US would be better off annexing Canada.
The answer of course is a resounding no.

  • A substantial majority of Canadians will be furious with the loss of the Liberal Mecca.

You should move these to the benefits section. Believe me, you'd be better off just annexing everything except Quebec right off the bat, and leaving them to fend for themselves.

Canadian healthcare is controlled and covered by the provinces. They usually decide what is covered and what stays private, It's not like in EU where healthcare is universal, It's more of a glorified insurance company covered by the province you live in and paid by your taxes. Kind of like state laws and how medicaid is different in each state.

Also canadians voted for their downfall. Annexation is only acceptable if they never get to vote.

Everyone knows Canadians would be better off, everyone also knows America would be worse off.

Maybe, if mining and Autarky of Canada's resources came back as an absolutely necessary thing then maybe America would need to move to annex Canada. However that presumes Canada wouldn't be easily bent to whatever course America chose for it, Canada knows its the power bottom bitch. Every Canadian knows in their bones that if America tells Canada no, then the answer is no to whatever Canada wanted to do. Canada is America's Ukraine.

The Case for Annexing Canada

They’re anti-American and constantly inventing dubious reasons as to why Canada is allegedly better than America, most of which relate to being even more pozzed than we are.
Prior to Lester Pearson (inventor of the current Canadian flag) and especially Pierre Trudeau (yes, Justin’s father, and founding father of Canadian multiculturalism) Canada had more of a British identity comparable to what still exists in Australia and New Zealand. Many of Canada’s early Anglo settlers in fact were Americans who supported the King and got deported as a result.
So Canada for instance had a tradition of “Northern” literature and film to compare with our “Westerns” which made the point that on the Canadian frontier, even in the Klondike country, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police was in control and keeping the Queen’s peace–unlike America’s lawless Wild West. Canadians stressed, “Peace, Order, and Good Government” as opposed to America’s “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”.
Canada got dominion status in 1867, and that plus their enormous sacrifices in World War One became the basis of their own patriotism. Canadian troops were, along with Australians, considered the elite shock troops of the British Empire on the Western Front. Canada’s losses in WWI were in population terms about half of what Russia’s were as an example.
Now that’s all gone. The link to Britain was severed when Britain joined the Common Market, and the British identity buried by Trudeau’s multiculturalism. All that’s left is anti-Americanism and being pozzed SJW faggots. Canadians will seriously assert with a straight face that they love their country because of…healthcare.
The benefits are legion. Annexation of English Canada (Quebec should be an independent protectorate) include:
• Immediate addition of 20-million English-speaking whites to America
• USA becomes world’s largest country by land area (suck it Russia!)
• US oil production immediately increases by one-third
• Major increases in cereals, timber, steel, aluminum, electricity, etc. production
• US EEZ increases by 50% and overtakes France to become #1
• Major increase in Artic shoreline, and can turn the Northwest Passage into territorial waters (something Canada currently claims but America currently rejects)
• American exposure to Canadian medicine might de-pathologize the incredibly stupid healthcare debate in America
• Sets in motion the possibility of other Anglo settler countries joining America (Britain I assume is a bridge too far with its monarchism and presence in Europe)
• Most importantly, I will no longer have to fill out NAFTA certificates or explain to Canadians that no, they do not in fact require CSA approval
There are also major benefits for Canadians such as:
• Canadian per capita GDP would rapidly converge with America’s
• Talented Canadians would finally be able to escape the Canadian jail and join the big leagues instead of pretending like Bay Street is a big deal
• “Hate speech” laws immediately eliminated
• Target will return to Canada, and Canadians finally get Jet.com
• Cheaper postage
• No longer need to use stupid looking Canadian money
• Lower-cost investing options
• Cheaper goods in general
• The endless softwood lumber trade dispute finally ends
• Canadians gain the right to pack some serious firepower
• Americans know how to put the “First Nations” in their rightful place
• The new olympic hockey team will be more competitive, and in general the national team will be more competitive at the winter olympics
