His design on the right looks like the high school sped.
Who can forget the vanity project redesign of Dante (the one of the right) for DMC. Not only was Dante redesigned to look like one of the projects higher-ups, but you get "creative" uses of "fuck you" in what could best be described as a middle schooler's attempt at being edgy. (They even ripped off Futurama in one of the plotlines.)

Hipsters deserve public crucifixtion.

Unfairly appropriating this from @SteelPlatedHeart but this seems a perfect thread for it. The redesign is so bad I'm actually going to steal Steel's format and ask if people can guess who this is supposed to be without peeking. Only clue: DC character.

It's Terra.

Nintendo's NEW 3DS XL screen to New 2DS XL screen.

Consistent design all around the chassis.

Top screen looks like they just ripped off the iPhone design. I don't like it; I cannot unsee the iPhone.

The bird is iconic and inviting. The X reminds me of some 1984 reality.
The first time I saw an embedded tweet after the logo change, I clicked on the X in the corner, thinking it would hide the embed. I was peeved when it just took me to Twitter.

I’m convinced that this dishonest clickbait trickery factored into the design change. It’s like those banner ads with fake “close ad” buttons that I used to see before I got ad-block.

Ubisoft re-designing the logo for The Crew, with the release of Motorfest, makes the game tone to look like a softer and more generic game (logo-wise) and feels unnecessary:

In comparison, when Forza did their logo change, only the typeface was changed, and it was so minor, that it's easy to overlook it:

Ubisoft as a whole is shitting themselves and have been directionless for the past couple years, even their previous cash cows like Assassins Creed have been ran into the ground by them.

Okay, I don't like the current Buick logo design. Those don't look like flags, the font is ugly, and the symmetry between the flags is unflattering.

The old CoD typeface makes way more sense. That, and its silver logo variant was what made the franchise meaningful, and it has to due to with its military theme. The new logo typeface looks like any other generic logo 2010s onward franchise
I think people are switching to cheap-to-license fonts. Read something kinda like that once.

Remember when FunBrain used to be THE website during elementary school?

Colorful, distinct, easy to navigate.

Now?

Ugly, bleek, generic, uninviting.
