I do understand why women were at the forefront of being assmad about alcoholism. Husband goes and spends all the wages for the household at the bar and then comes home and beats the shit out of her and the children in a drunken rage. Still, banning it completely was never going to work. Any idiot can make alcohol and you don't even have to try too much. Prisoners can do it with toilet paper and a trash bag. As for the topic, I think universal suffrage was a mistake.
