Woke bands you listen to

I've only heard 15 seconds of one of their songs and knew a tranny was involved somehow

I still really like Incubus, despite their (or maybe just their lead singer's) chasing of every Current Thing from George Bush derangement to muh'sogyny to eco bullshit.

And no I don't mean the faggy slow/sappy songs like Drive and Wish You Were Here. Stuff like Sick Sad Little World, New Skin, Nice to Know You, and Vitamin.

respect Wish You Were Here, it's a damn good song
Eh maybe should've said slow/sappy. I liked Wish You Were Here, Drive, and Pardon Me years ago, but I think the higher energy ones show off their musical skills better. Sick Sad Little World is good for workout playlists.

Frank Zappa was a die hard Democrat. Though, there could be a possibility he would be right wing if he were still alive. However, I feel he would have been one of those that would sell out to the left wing grift. Either way, his music is awesome.

This thread reminded me of a post that really got stuck in my head with how absurd I found it, in which someone compares Donald Trump to XTC's Peter Pumpkinhead; I would have thought it's needless to say, but XTC were pretty liberal so they probably would not draw the comparison themselves, but death of the artist and all that.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise has some excellent songs and is rife with trannies. Wolf Alice are also very good and every time my terfy ass listens to their songs, a troon cries, seethes, and dilates.

Frank Zappa would take over George Carlin's role, except he'd probably be nonbinary.

That tranny who made the shrimp miku song and Tato machine love. 2 songs I enjoyed for so long ruined the second I learn about the producer.

That would have come as a surprise to Frank Zappa.

After he died, his wife Gail started donating money to the Democrats -- including a certain Al Gore. That generated some controversy from people who argued that Frank never donated to the Dems and sure as fuck wouldn't have given money to the husband of Tipper Gore.

My favorite album of January 2026 is No More Like This by PVA, and I'm sure they are talking about "queerness" and other kinds of bullshit through it. It's a really good Trip-Hop/EBM album though.

I don't really care about the "separation of art and artist" eternal debate. If art good I like it, if not I don't. And telling a leftist that you like their music as a right-wing person makes them seethe more than anything.

Neil Young is the absolute zenith of boomer liberalism: spent his 20s smoking pot and snorting coke in Topanga Canyon watching the world burn from afar, settled down on a rural ranch with his wife and kids and has spent every decade since whining about politics and the environment.

I don't give a shit, his music is awesome.

I like a lot Doro Pesch' music (she is a vegan activist and in the 90s she made a song "against racists", look Bad Blood).

I like few of RATM songs from their first album but they overrated.

Not sure if Queensryche till 1990s counts.

Listing all the Metal and Punk bands I listen to that are liberal or left-wing would be an exhausting task so I just assume they're that way until proven otherwise, but if we're solely focusing on bands rather than solo acts, then Ministry stands out as they were capable of releasing incredible music that still holds up. Anyone cognizant of the political climate they emerged from at their peak could see they were styled as a deeply anti-authoritarian and anti-right-wing band. Psalm 69 was obviously a shot at the Republican Party with the opening tune aimed squarely at Papa Bush with the band continuing those themes on the Anti-Bush Trilogy during the W years. They were already running on inertia at that point but fans consider those three albums the last of their acceptable output. And then, came the Trump era. What was already starting as irritating devolved into utterly insufferable. Just read the lyrics.
So what was once forbidden becomes fringe, and what was fringe becomes mainstream
This is a nightmare

Big dick energy

Toxic misogyny, violence
Toxic misogyny, violence
Toxic misogyny
Using, using violence

Toxic misogyny, violence
Toxic misogyny, violence
Toxic misogyny
This is a nightmare

Horny little boys full of hormones and hate
Waging war on women 'cause they can't get a date
Stockpiling their weapons 'cause they think their dicks get bigger
Waiting for the chance to finally pull the fucking trigger

Hating what you cannot have
Killing what you cannot be

No one can justify their toxic behavior
Big dick energy!

Manosphere, manosphere
It comes down to controlling women's bodies
It's the birth rates, birth rates
Let me give you a hand, I'm not just a vagina
Big dick energy!

Toxic little man with the toxic little plan
Fuck 'em all, kill em all, both if you can
There's no relief in sight from the crazy far right
They'll never get to fuck, so they just kill out of spite

Hating what you cannot have
Killing what you cannot be
Well, I don't think so

No one can justify their toxic behavior
Big dick energy!

Controlling women's bodies
Insecurity
Controlling women's bodies
Using, using violence, violence

They're all focused on the idea of-

Sorry that you can't get laid
Big dick masquerade
Tough guys on parade
[?] so afraid
Toxic masculinity
Toxic ideology
Toxic misogyny
Big dick energy!
Big dick energy!

You don't hate me, you hate yourself
I'm not gonna have your baby, you fucking loser
Big dick energy

Big dick energy

No one can justify their toxic behavior
Big dick energy
Who trusts a guy whose gun is his savior
Big dick energy
