I would wager that Sophie and her readers are of the flavor of tucute that believe that everyone who wants to transition knows what their best interests are, and no one has ever regretted it, therefore those evil doctors and their "tests" are instruments of oppression that need to be eliminated. Those beliefs are usually explained by butthurt over not medically qualifying for a gender dysphoria diagnosis, but they also mesh quite nicely with the belief that children as young as kindergarteners should be allowed to transition.

Probably trying to escape the rabid hatred some radical Tumblrites have for trans men while not changing his character too drastically. It doesn't seem like she actually has anything to say about intersex people, really, she's just using them as a shield against criticism (much like her preemptive dodging of racism claims by terribly shoehorning in race issues).
