I really don't get why I should care about other's sexual fantasies.

If anything, I feel a bit sad for people like pedophiles for example because whenever they admit it, they'll probably be hated and ostracized and they'll never be able to actually satisfy their sexual needs unless they commit a horrible crime.

I... kind of agree with this? A little? You don't choose your sexual preferences, and while I'd imagine most people who have sexual fantasies about children or family members have some major underlying psychological issues, I wouldn't be surprised if that's just how some well-adjusted people are. (Keyword: SOME. I'd imagine it's the exception to the rule. though I am not a psychologist at all so.) And as long as they don't harm others (directly or indirectly) by acting on their sexual desires, understanding that doing so would be incredibly damaging to the other party*, that's not hurting anyone.

(*Though if two family members really do have the hots for each other and, as consenting adults, engage in sexual activities with each other... um, ew? But okay, do your thing I guess? As long as you know you won't regret it and screw each other over with lawsuits later on??? idk. But sex with a child is never okay.)

That's just my train of thought on the matter, I guess. Don't get me wrong, anyone who molests a child or family member or anyone against their will, really is a sick bastard and deserves at least jail time, and I think anyone who has such fantasies should at least try seeing a therapist about it, but otherwise... if they don't act on their desires and responsibly make the effort to not tempt themselves to do so, that can just stay their secret or whatever.

I'd second that. I don't like the way the term 'pedophile' is interchangeable with 'child molester' because it's not the same. A pedophile is someone with a sexual attraction to kids, while a child molester is someone who acts on that attraction. I wish that pedophilia was seen as something to be treated, rather than something to be demonized. It seems like it would solve a lot of problems.

That being said, if you post about wanting to fuck kids, it's going to creep us out, and there's really nothing we can do to control that.

(For the record, I think I've only really browsed the boards at Wizardchan once for a few minutes. Everything else I've seen have been quotes and links to threads posted here.
