Stranger Things is this for my parents, unlike me who watches CHAD ONE PEAK

All of those Netflix/Prime/Paramount Plus/AppleTV series that run together into indistinguishable swill, it seems, that women watch and will tell you are a "phenomenon" that everybody is discussing even though most people you know have never heard of it.

Is it that show, that's set on an island or a beachfront town? And there's that rich couple? Or those sisters? Maybe there's a mystery? Or a mom character? Or someone's having an affair?

Basically yeah. That on top of the usual soap opera.

Outlander. It's based on a wine mom book a.k.a. a bodice ripper.

FYI, the show ain't bad and at least it tries to tell a story. Also, the writer is friends with GRRM and she is writing the last book of the saga.

SVU used to be decent at one point, back during the superior original Law and Order run, 1990-2010.
SVU used to be about actual sex predators that actually made some effort to go after their victims and cover it up and the whole deal was try to catch them. Now it's about muh misogyny.

I like Chicago Fire, but there is a limit of stories you can make with firefighters, unlike doctors or detectives.

The best one out of all of those "wine mom shows" was Monk.

It's about this mentally ill private detective with extreme OCD who, because of his sperginess can solve crimes that normal people can't.
Tony Shaloub's performance is what really makes this show.
He's a really good actor and and played his character in a way that is entertaining and comedic but he didn't make it a goofy parody.
Supposedly, he studied the behavior of people with autism and OCD for a while in order to make it as realistic as possible and it shows.
Why is Monk considered a Wine mom show? Detective shows were family viewing when they were popular. They're a staple of weekend evenings eating a meal while watching them.

Rookie has had incredible moments of being bottom tier slop, (particularly when it starts with the anti-cop shit) and others were it's okay, harmless and even funny.

Whenever Black Detective Lady shows up with her niggercuck husband, i turn it off, because I know the comedy is by accident in that episode.

I just wish that we got historical dramas / period pieces that weren't just slop for women. I actually liked most of Outlander but I also heavily used the fast forward function to skip over the women scenes.

Where are the epics for men? There is Sharpe which I still need to watch. (Last Kingdom I couldn't get into because I read the books and the books are better)

The last epic films made for men were Alexander, Troy and Kingdom of Heaven in the early aughts.

Political and legal dramas that push globohomo messages and have storylines that are based on current events (The West Wing, Madam Security, The Good Wife/Fight). "Reality" shows where it's couples seeing if they can work things out (90 Day Fiancee and the like).

nah, at some point the well is dry either way.
doctors struggle with saving lives and fight the system with a lot of personal drama.
detectives try to save lives (by solving crimes) and fight the system with a lot of personal drama.

that's why all the chicago shows are basically all "realistic" soap operas, they're not about the rich and famous like dallas, denver or falcon's crest, but "real" "everyday" people and their daily lives which makes it more accessible.

they're basically what slice-of-life anime is for weebs, but for normalfags.

those tend to get raped with new seasons or outright canceled.

Yeah, I’m a little confused why some of these are being called wine mom shows. I consider that to be something like Real Housewives, Sex in the City, The Bachelor.

In regards to the OP, Suits LA was cancelled after a few episodes. No one liked it. The original Suits isn’t bad, it just gets tiresome after a while. The Hunting Party is only on its first season, and I think it has potential to grow. It has a weird concept, but it’s basically about chasing down the worst psycho killers ever know (it gives me Blacklist vibes).

I will say that any TV show that runs beyond about 10 seasons is going to have problems. SVU is basically unwatchable now. Chicago Fire has its moments, but it’s always been sort of just bland TV that you watch while scrolling your phone.

Bones is another one that should have been cancelled earlier, but I have to defend it. Every time I see reruns, it’s a pretty fun watch. Although I never figured out why the Smithsonian was allowed to run death investigations from start to finish.

Did Suits LA even bring back characters from the original? I think I watch part of one episode and it showed a flashback of the new main guy in NYC with his retard son / brother. Trying to tie it into Harvey's backstory at the DA's office.

Grey's Anatomy and The Summer I Turned Pretty. Mama Starscream watches those two shows all the time. I want both series finalies to feature all the main characters dying in a fire. Especially Grey's---Meredith makes me MATI.
