with the rise of progressive in america and many young people turning on liberalism after realizing it's a scam. will liberalism just become conservatism at some point?

Mind defining the terms?
Are you speaking of "liberalism" as woke green communism, or are you speaking of "liberalism" as "less government intervention but government still needs to be there"

I think the entire dichotomy of liberalism and conservatives is just a oversimplified smokescreen of an otherwise complicated issue, So no it will just be dropped like a nigger baby along with some of the facets of conservatism and every one will sperg about a new mass hysteria event and pick their selective camps then on and on and on and on.

Conservative and liberal are largely just vestigial terms for two loose coalitions attempting to fight for power and control, at least in the U.S.

If you mean "will liberals move from trying to change society to trying to preserve modern society as-is", then yes.

There is already a growing segment of the right that is openly questioning every social issue the progressives "won" during the 20th century- racial integration, women having the same roles as men in society, the assumption that immigration is inherently good and immigrants are here to stay forever once they arrive, etc. These were accepted as axioms until very recently, and leftists still assume the "natural" course of history is the continued implementation of their worldview- a very short-sighted view based solely on historical events between 1850 and 2000.

Just as those changes took decades to bring about, they will take decades to be undone. But the fact that there is pushback now causes me to suspect the pendulum is swinging to the point that all those things will be undone, even if it takes decades. I suspect by the 2120s most of "progressivism" will have been undone one way or another.

I don't think anything is going to be "undone". The values we had before progressivism could probably be best described as agrarian values. In a farming society, concepts like feminism and the gay community don't make a whole lot of sense. People are too spread apart for a gay community to form, and material wealth is too dependent on male physical labor for feminism to seem viable.

America's workforce was majority farmers until 1870, then women got the right to vote in 1920. That's only 50 years— two generations. If you stop thinking of ideologies like feminism and Marxism and anarchism as being active forces and start thinking of them as more so being reactions to technologically driven lifestyle changes, then they suddenly make more sense. If you and your family change lifestyles from rural to urban over the course of a decade or two, it makes sense that you'd adopt some extreme values in reaction to the change.

I don't think we're ever going back to the "trad" lifestyle, primarily because I don't think we're ever going back to a rural lifestyle. I do think women will probably be subordinated in some way, but it will be in a way that is wildly different from what we expect.

Progressive values are the symptoms of a wealthy society. Every progressive era in history goes the same way, wealth is generated, monarchs and leadership becomes soft and has ideas to radically change society based on their out of touch delusions. Then the society becomes poor, a massive war happens and everyone settles down.
