Will we bring industries back here?

One of the main issues I have with globalization is how fragile it is. All it takes is a major disruption like what we’ve seen recently. I’d argue it not a new problem and was one of the major factors with the Bronze Age collapse.

Unless the politics get protectionist on the order of many European countries, no.
Specialized manufacturing we'll do fine, small-scale stuff is starting to be encroached upon by East Asians, gutter-tier stuff will pretty much always flock to the cheapest country available. Soon enough that'll be East Africa.
The Bronze Age collapse took a few horrible earthquakes, some droughts, AND invasions by a bunch of Sicilians to really kick into gear, and it wasn't just because the supply chains got disrupted.

What are you two sitting next to each other?

It's just cheaper to export the industry to anus world countries. If there was a better incentive and a real push to bring industries back to the US it's still possible. But also consider the extra effort to do that compared to other countries where you can outsource everything cheaply. (costs are one thing, but there's also a lot of bureaucracy when it comes to stuff like environmental regulations and whatnot.)
