That and the whole trans thing. I think I said this before but it seems like when they started pushing the trans shit was when they started losing support because for many that was just a step too far.
Essentially woke crowds started supporting ideals that were just totally stupid and that you'd have to be a complete fucktard to get behind and that lost the normies.

Honestly I think it's two things.
First, wokeism is a very inconsistent ideology with many contradictory stances, or at least, contradictory if you don't buy into the ideological framework they utilize. One example I regularly use is gender abolitionists and transgenders are diametrically opposed. If gender doesn't matter and you can be whatever at any time with no baggage, then the "trans experience" loses any weight. Similarly, if you want to transition from MtF or FtM, then that necessarily requires accepting at least the existence of gender as a concept. Though in many cases, it goes further than that and many trans believe in the gender binary, they simply believe that they should be on the other side of said binary. Another one I've heard recently is the phrase "Islam is right about women".
Second, wokeism is an ideology that is extremely intolerant, while also being extremely prone to purity testing it's members. The intolerant sects will throw out those they oppose with until they are in turn thrown out by an even more intolerant sect. Purity spiralling really is just part of the identity of the ideology by now.
The two of these work together and you end up with what you have now. You have a movement that is so internally inconsistent and nonsensical that falling afowl of the current dogma is pretty easy, and when you do, the ideology is extremely intolerant and either ejects you out, or forces you to prove yourself once again by castrating yourself in front of them.

It hasn't exactly failed, it kind of overextended itself, and is now in the process of regrouping/rebranding.
They HAVE managed to infest every college, government institution, and sufficiently large company, with extremely difficult to dislodge DEI ticks.

Calling them DEI ticks is actually pretty in-point with how BRIDGE works.
Running a DEI department didn't work, cause that was a singular localised place where you could indentify and ignore or remove the issue. BRIDGE is the apparatus by which the DEI ticks can be put into the organisation, such that like a tick, they cling to the skin and make it so that if you try and pull them out, you'll bleed. A lot of anti-DEI types get the whole thing with BRIDGE wrong and don't realise that it's not just a rebranding of DEI, but rather a different mechanism to impose DEI such that it becomes harder to remove. The end goal is simple: make DEI integral to the core business functions such that removing it would be akin to removing a major organ from your body.
Personally, I believe the best chance of pushing back against DEI/wokeisms is the youth. Many of them have spent their entire life being the villain or having their future sold out to someone else's virtue signalling or corporate/government corruption, and somehow, they're always the asshole. Once that starts to sink in to them, there's the potential for a total paradigm break.
