Of the two J.G. Ballard books I've read, High Rise became one of my favorites the second I finished it, while Concrete Island was enjoyable enough.

I still need to read Crash and Atrocity Exhibition, unless anyone else has more recommendations.

Read Empire of the Sun. I know a lot of people set it apart from his other works, but shouldn’t.

The insight into his childhood, going through adolescence in a brutal Japanese internment camp during WW2, helped me understand and appreciate his adult works of fiction a lot more.
