The author seems to have some SJW tendencies, but I loathe this attempted trend in fiction (that seems to have taken hold in YA fiction and a couple of other sub-genres) to restrict what an author can or can't write about due to their immutable characteristics. They're at race and gender now, they're demanding books only tell the 'right' narratives about minorities and historical times. They're right on the borderline of asking for any LGB characters to be written by an author who has submitted a picture of them sucking cock/eating muff for proof that they have the 'authority' to do so.I love watching wokeness witch burnings. There's nothing they love more than eating their own.
It's all so very tiresome, it highlights just how divisive indentity politics and its most vocal adherents are, and it tries to deny any idea of shared humanity by instead claiming that there's absolutely no way a human can exhibit enough empathy to understand what it's like to be specific people of colour/a woman/trans/everything else they want to add on. And considering the people doing the most complaining, it seems clear it's a massive case of projection over their inability to consider the world from anyone else's point of view.
