Don't know why they changed it, the old logo was iconic and recognizable. I don't understand why a lot of companies do this, I can understand editing the colours or touching it up every once and awhile but changing it to something unrecognizable is just insane to me.

Patreon got a lot of attention for redesigning their logo to a line and dot years ago. It seems to me like they wanted to go even more minimalist but realized they couldn't without just making their logo into a single colour shapeless blob.
