LazyGameReviews/LGR/Clint Basinger really rubs me the wrong way. His voice is just that perfect mix of nerd smug, where he thinks he sounds smooth but really feels like he's about to explain to me exactly why I'm an idiot for picking the wrong Linux distro. It's not even just his voice, he's just got this low-key holier-than-thou attitude.

And it's a shame, too, because the retro tech YouTubers seem pretty tight with one another and don't tend to cover shit another has already done, and he's covered a hell of a lot of web 1.0 stuff. He should just ghostwrite for Techmoan or The 8-Bit Guy, those two are such better presenters.

I crapped on Demolition Ranch just a little (but mainly this creepy looking psychopathic friend of his that he collaborated with who I forget the name of) for being annoying+bad influences on gun safety for younger people in one of the gun youtube threads and I got a ton of negative rates. Then I heard one of the morons had some sort of negligent gun accident and got shot or something idk what happened exactly since I don't follow people I don't like but you just reminded me of that lol

I used to like LGR.... until I took an arrow to the knee.

But seriously, he's a case of you can overlook small issues because he presents fun and interesting stuff... though I find myself less interested lately. I dunno, somehow videos about old sound cards just aren't that interesting. Hearing the Duke Nukem theme sound slightly different just doesn't make a compelling video.
