If we are to assume the hammerhead eyes are a supernatural manifestation of clairvoyance I would say they manifest in observing the present rather than the past or future because of the position of the blind spots on the organs themselves. When one sees more widely the vanishing point of their consciousness itself is everything not directly in front or to the side of them. To look behind, to look ahead, it is not the physical organs one must open but the proverbial third eye, and this is easier for those with poorer physical vision.
So I'd say the psychic manifestation of his physiology is that he's a remote viewer but not someone who can see the future or past with any real clarity. At least not in his present state.
