Anyway, the lolcow enjoying OGs think that activity is superior to politisperging, and they also assume that there are boundaries for acceptable thoughts, so when somebody in the A&N questions some orthodoxy like women rights, minorities, vaccines and viruses etc., instead of finding funny ways to dunk on people they are assuming to be inferior, they get rather offended by such trespassing of liberal orthodoxy.
The tension between the politispergs and lolcow enjoyers is funny though, I enjoy it.

It has been the complaint that poltispergs drag politics into cow threads. Problem with that argument is that many cows are expressly political themselves. So there is no way to completely avoid the topic and some people didn't like that they might hear disagreement about why a cow's take was good or bad if they personally didn't agree with that poster's take on it.

It was all hugely overblown, in my opinion, and many of the people who cried the the hardest got themselves banned in the blowup a few years back.
