Zoomer men and zoomer women seem to have a fixation on fat asses. It's in all their pics and their music.

Why the fuck do they want 'thicc' girls so much and why to women follow these trends so quickly. It's all fucking gross as shit.
 
it's one of those brain cancers pushed by social media especially instagram and shit. there's also a strong cultural narrative that mutant ghetto booty = sexy, but in that condescendingly insincere way where pop culture floats rap culture tropes because it's somehow anti-racist or something, and zoomers can't tell the difference

Genuinely? I think most men appreciate wide hips on a gal, and with yoga pants it's hard to tell a fat ass from wide hips. You can tell on fit women, though. I do think the cartoonish obsession is widely astroturfed by the cultural elites pushing their own preference, though, and general Amerimutt obsession with black culture.

I see it. When I hear or see comments like "Damn she got a fat ass!" the thought that crosses my mind is yeah no shit, she's fucking fat.
 
Personally, as a resident zoomie, medium is premium. Too PHAT of a ass, and my THOT-dar is going off. And don't forget the abs. Tomboy supremacy baby.

That said, as for the question, i would say music around the early 2010's with hip hop artists and rappers. That is where i could pinpoint the infection point. At first we memed the lyrics in the songs. Then some people actually took it seriously. That's why we cant have nice things.
 
I don't know if anyone actually specifically likes "fat" asses, tbh.

My speculation:
Ghetto trash doesn't have any other way to describe wide/attractive hips, so they just kind of chimped out "fat ass" as a way to describe a woman with an attractive butt (keep in mind the term "phat" used to be a pop culture term referring to anything cool or attractive, so there's precedence).

Idiots who think being ghetto trash is the height of coolness heard "fat ass" and started internalizing and repeating "fat asses are hot" in order to seem trendy, not realizing that "fat" in this case was mostly a colloquialism.
