There is literally nothing about factory raising livestock that is okay, but because we have so many goddamn people it isn't economically feasible to raise only free range, grass fed beef. Meat prices would skyrocket.

Can we swap over to Capybaras? They're giant rodents that can eat the Native Mesquite plants which grow in such abundance that they are deemed noxious if not outright invasive in many parts of the US.
 
They're prepping you for a diet of insects. The upper classes will still have all the meat they want, this is only for the worker caste.
 
Well we know soy especially, but I wouldn't be surprised if meatless diets (for the vast majority of people who don't supplement with protein powders and crazy workouts) contribute to feminized, weakened bodies. Not to mention that vegans already have issues getting their recommended amounts of taurine, B12, Vitamin D. There's nothing wrong with a diet that is full of fruits and vegetables, but if you look at trad diets in Europe (I assume elsewhere, but that's what I know best) people were living decently long without being convinced to give up on meat. A lot of vegans use the average lifespan as an argument, but when you accommodate for infant mortality, old people lived to be pretty old in the past too.

I think more than being about meat, it's about getting us plebs to not only give up something so intrinsically human (imagine them laughing at us) but this is only a step in a process of getting us used to making do with less and less. If it was about the earth, the vegans should switch to yelling at people who fly around the world, when the emissions for a round trip from Europe to North America are more than what a person in many countries uses in a year. I can understand why the big people on top might have an invested interest in this. But it's even better watching their lackey henchman yell that we omnivores carnists are heartless, animal haters personally causing the Amazon to burn. I know plenty of people, including myself who are concerned with what's happening on earth due to climate change, but the sanctimonious vegans are great at making me not give a fuck. Which serves the exact business interests that they claim to want to destroy.
