I had a friend who I and many others used to talk to and he was a nice and funny guy. He had Chron's disease and he told me how painful it was to bear when I was feeling down and hopeless. During the summer, he was expecting to die a few months time. However, being put in intensive care as of recently due to Chron's disease getting a lot worse had us exchanging information we're soon gonna lament the loss of this guy. It makes me question the world I live in when people suffer extremely painful sickness.

I suspect it’s because we’ve bioengineered our food for max results and our bodies haven’t had time to catch up. Most of what we have now is unrecognizable to the diet of 100 years ago. No wonder your friend and many others have crohns and celiac and all sorts of nasty diseases. Hell I remember when getting citrus fruit at Christmas was a special treat. This is one of those poorly written AI posts again, isn't it? I'm getting really sick of these damn things.

First of all, it's Crohn's Disease, spelling in this instance is obviously important. Second, practically no one dies of Crohn's disease itself in this day and age. At the very worst, if somehow all the many, many treatments available for Crohn's disease were to fail, one can get a total ileocolectomy and have what's left of their small intestine directly sown to their anus. It is a shitty way to live (no pun intended) but one can still live a somewhat normal life like that. Hell, even in countries where all the modern treatments aren't available a total colectomy is still possible and one would live.

So, given the above, I HIGHLY doubt what you are writing is true.
