I'm sure it obviously varies from cow to cow, but I don't really think it's different than most normal people, except with some of their more insane ideas behind it. Some normal lad might be having a midlife crisis, and start suddenly thinking about all the things he hasn't done, what will happen when he's gone, and wish and wish he had a child he could look after, mold in his image, and leave in his place as proof that he was here.
A cow probably has similar thoughts, but amped up to 11, and filled with a burning desire to teach their offspring how the FBI is herding all the nigger cattle, and to make sure they pass on the same information to future generations.
