Here's the situation. When you play a show that shas subtitles in full screen, the screen flickers when the subtitles pop up on screen. It does not happen when the video is windowed, when the subtitles are burned in at the server, and it does not happen when hardware acceleration is disabled in the browser. This happens both on windows and mac computers, with the Mac solution being, of all things, making the curser size bigger then smaller again.

Why?

Why?

Can you try both VLC and MPV and get screenshots or take pictures of your screen if that does not work?

Sorry for going all "Works on my machine" but i've been using VLC with .srt (or .sub and .idx files if the uploaders are third-world retards) sub files since forever and i never had that happen once. You sure its a GPU issue?

Edit: Same for subs outside of VLC, like YouTube, Netflix or Amazon Prime.
