They activly want the negative attention. Morals and principles don't matter as long as the main stream call them repugnant therefore, in their mind, making them "based". Since they're basically just chronic contrarians no matter how based they believed them selves to be none will ever be able to answer the most important question "based on what?"

Angry white boy is mad the system failed him. The system is now his enemy. He wants them to know it. Therefore he will be that enemy to get back at them and scare people, finally feeling power.
