What's about some certain foods that give autistic people an aversive reaction? I noticed with many autistic people on the internet that only limit themselves to bland foods with very little variety they choose? Why does eating a raw white onion make me want to puke but if it's caramelized onions I'm perfectly okay? Why do I only eat tomatoes in a certain way? Why do I only like eating dried peppers or peppers that are cut into small pieces? Why do I hate wasabi so much but love pure concentrated pepper extracts? Why do I like fake ass butter more than the true and honest butter?

Maybe since they tend to get hyper fixated on stuff, they do that with food too. You know, like how some autist won't do certain tasks unless the environment around them is just the way they like it. That's why they won't eat a burger if it had pickles in it and they were removed.

Or maybe it is that they are generally uncomfortable stepping outside of their comfort zone. They tend to retreat into familiar places, tastes or environments whenever possible and hold a disdain for uncharted territory.

Everyone is picky about what they eat to an extent, it's called having a preference. The autist will have a sperg out over something they don't like being on their food while a normal person will just pick what they dislike off
this is true i almost broke down and cried when they put mustard on my burger it fucking ruined it to the employee working that day fuck you
