Thing is, atheism isn't a belief system.
It's just "I don't believe in god" and that's it, it doesn't come with a set of rules to follow.
Any other belief and behavior of an atheist is a separate thing.
NOPE.Most people who identify as atheists are doing so because they hate traditional religion, usually Christianity in particular. That's the atheist "belief system." People who don't have that aversion to traditional religion will usually say they're agnostic or just say "idk man" or some shit.
NOPE.
Atheism has to do with belief, gnosticism has to do with knowledge.
Being agnostic means "I don't know" and being atheist means "I don't believe".
I haven't seen this argument used in over 10 years, this brings back memories
Good try though.
Most people just identify as atheist or agnostic and some people think those are mutually exclusive. There are a few self-identified "agnostic atheists" and "gnostic atheists," but most people who self-identify as agnostic just don't care one way or the other and most people who identify as atheist or religious really feel certain about there being no God or being God, even if they might not feel certain of one particular religion over another, so usually it's just treated like atheist -> agnostic -> religious even in self-identification. "Agnostic atheist" is the hipster choice, showing that not only do you think God is unlikely, you don't care about Pascal, either, which... well, good, Pascal's reasoning is poor in my opinion, and people should argue for God or against God rather than making these sophistic game-theoretical arguments about trying to force themselves to believe in God or force themselves not to believe in God.NOPE.

Most atheists just don't see any evidence for god so they don't believe in god.most people who identify as atheist or religious really feel certain about there being no God or being God
It's the most logical skeptic position."Agnostic atheist" is the hipster choice
You've made a bunch of declarative statements without anything to back them up.Thanks for proving my point by quoting dictionary definitions at me in response to a post laying out how people use the dictionary definition as a cope to deflect from the actual social meaning of these terms.
I somewhat agree in that no normal person would publicly declare such a cunty statement unless they thought it would be justified with enough little digital ass pat likes, or cynical exposure RTs as what obviously motivated that comment.Just the usual effects of twitter on a human brain
I could ask you where did you get those beliefs about atheists you hold.
How they're screaming "God isn't real" and how they have mommy and daddy issues.
Where did you get that from?
You've made a bunch of declarative statements without anything to back them up.
What exactly was I supposed to do?
I think the world would probably (assuming a bit of logical handwaving) be a better place if Christianity were true. I think I comport myself in a generally Christian manner. Most people who identify as atheists are doing so because they hate traditional religion, usually Christianity in particular.

The problem is that liking an idea doesn't make it so.
