Hocus Pocus might possibly be the best film of all time and I for one am super excited to see the likes of Kathy Najimy and Bette Midler come back and have some fun before they die oh and also Sarah Jessica Parker will be in it too but who cares about her she's so goddamn stupid did you see that movie she made about her shitty tv show lord it was the worst shit i ever watched twice in a row anyway do you think that sequels made 20 years or more from the original are based i think they're pretty based and i also can't wait for Triplets starring Danny DeVito

As far as Halloween specials go Hocus Pocus may be the best of them. Very dark despite being made for kids (Hanging, child murder, torture, references to hell and the devil, and more), and the three antagonists had a pretty kickass song. Sequel is going to be garbage though. Call me cynical but I have no faith in modern media.

Funnily enough, they’re filming in my home state and I came this close to applying for a crew position only to realize they were only looking for extras for the fake village set they’ve been constructing for the past three months.

Anyway, I can’t say I trust any IP that’s old enough to vote in the hands of a faceless conglomerate in this day and age, especially if said IP has a lasting cult status that could be ruined with a shitty reboot/sequel.
