I mean its our fucking flag on it. So really who does the moon belong to and who gets a say? If were gonna put a base on the moon this question starts becoming more important.

I've always thought that when rocket technology becomes easier for you average loony to obtain/build we're gonna see tons of funny moon related acts of terror.
The american flag is gonna get sent to the sun and we're gonna see flags from future terror groups popping up. It's gonna be wacky fun and I can't wait.

I'm pretty sure we've got international agreements saying nobody is allowed to own any part of celestial bodies besides Earth. That being said, the American flag up there has been bleached by wacky sun radiation over the years, so I think it belongs to the French now?
