Tanks! That's part of the problem, though. It's fine to sell empty bottles, but eBay and others have restrictions about selling alcohol at all. Then, the issue of shipping it because most carriers won't (flammability concerns). It would have to be to a private collector or perhaps local through Craig's List or something. I have a lot of rare tequila that falls into that same category. Sold one bottle for $500 to a collector that knew exactly what it was worth and had to have it.
I'm enjoying a single malt Teeling right now, real nice whiskey for sipping.
A very good whiskey. I love the salt flavor. The single barrel is worth the extra cost if you can get it.
It's somewhat overrated and has that pretentious wax seal to look fancy, but it's a reasonably good low-middle range whiskey. I find it a trifle sweet for my tastes. In the same general range of bourbons, I'd prefer Bulleit slightly. There's really nothing wrong with Maker's Mark itself, though, it's just funny because of its association with the Gunt and other pretentious douchebags because of its marketing.
Adding some personal opinion to what @AnOminous said: I didn't really find it any better than Four Roses (Yellow Label). Not even the 5% more ABV makes any difference. It isn't bad just overpriced, somewhat pretentious, and mild.
In favor of practically anything, I'd usually get Wild Turkey 101. But for something like Woodford Reserve if you wanted something like that? That could easily be a job for Maker's Mark, Knob Creek, Bulleit, or any other number of similarly popular whiskeys.
