Well they’re both compensating for something they lack. North Korea has nukes and.....nothing else.

You might think China holds some high cards, but I think they’re just a bigger DPRK. They barely have enough food to feed their people (10% of their land is agrarian or able to be used) and their current expansion into conflicted territories I think shows they need room.
