Maybe it was being younger, but shit was just different. More ‘pure’ for kids, not every show or game or whatever was trying to be for adults as well. We’re never going to have Saturday Morning cartoons ever again, if that means anything.

There was also the fact that the public was still aware that they shouldn't take the internet so seriously, but alack. I still have nostalgia for all those old flash games that were made basicaly just because.

From my perspective, it went and is going the same way film and comics and anime went. Started as a smaller, more indie landscape full of experimentation and auteurs but became more and more popular, and more and more commoditized.
