Let alone drawing heads that were not from a side-view! I swear it's like they couldn't figure it out and simply didn't try.

When I think of art movements/periods, this film comes to mind. A Dutch animator took Rembrandt's "The Jewish Bride" and rendered it into different styles from the early cave drawings to today (or maybe the future).
