Has to be South Korea, they have an official committee for it, even TV channels dedicated to e-sports. They even made it so that the guys competing would get the same basic salary as actual athletes lol
But for some reason there's not as many South Korean speed runners, and I consider those guys the peak gamers. In terms of speedrunners, excluding America and Canada since those countries don't really have a unified culture you can credit the efforts of the speedrunners to afaik, it would be Japan and Germany.
