Where are the Biden voters?

There's a "slight" difference between the amount of voters between 2020 and 2024, only around 10M at the least according to Wikipedia.

So let's a big spergfest of why the gap exists, I'll list every reason I can conceive that can mainly explain it, of course it can be a combination of multiple ones. If you think there was a steal then the question why wasn't it followed up this time.

Reasons:
* Voters who simply got tired of the Democratic system after both Biden ans Trump underperformed in their eyes.
* Lazy voters who was more inclined to vote during COVID.
* Inaccurate polling data.
* Third parties wasting votes in every election besides 2020.
* Not letting millions of minority people to vote.
* 10M Democrat voters dying from the coof/vaxx.
* Kamala being so boring that no one cares to vote.
* The elections were stolen, but January 6th somehow scaring away the Dems from another try.
* The elections were stolen, but people with guns at polling stations convinced the cheaters not to try anything.
* The elections were stolen, but lack of budget prevented any plans post FTX Crypto bubble.
 
If you think there was a steal then the question why wasn't it followed up this time.

Its not longer "think" its "know" there was in 2020 (and likely in many places in 2022).

However, this time around there was...

-Kamala and Biden's admin being too wildly unpopular to believably rig
-Trump becoming even more popular that him losing by anything but the thinnest of margins wasn't believable, which makes the rig much harder to implement
-Voter watch groups were constantly circling and lawyering up every time a fix might be happening
-Many states instituted more stringent voter protections/identification methods because of 2020/22
-There were no where near the number of mail in votes as 2020/22 since no one cares about Covid and most people not wanting to enable a rig in the place where it happened the most (which were mail in votes)
-Biden dropping out was not the plan and they only had 3 months to rig it for Kamala and there likely was not enough time to organize it
-The Dems becoming extremely arrogant after 2020/22 and might have stupidly believed they didn't need to rig it (what is attributed to malice is more often stupidity and all that)
-Kamala coming out with batshit insane campaign promises, specifically about the economy, likely scared of the corporate "powers that be" and their NGO puppets who didn't put much effort into rigging it like 2020/22.
-Dem leadership realizing they couldn't do it and just settling for a smaller rigging of congress/senators to avoid a GOP supermajority.

And so on and so forth.

Millions of Americans were inspired for the first time in their lives to go vote in 2020. The government's handling of COVID was all that mattered to them. Not democracy, or abortion, or anything else. They reflexively blamed the President in power and voted so. I know people who showed up, voted for Biden and skipped everything else on the ballot. These people did not return for the Democrats in either 2022 or 2024 because they have no real political allegiance. If they perceive something isn't affecting them then they do not care. They're not lazy, just indifferent.

I don't make it a point to read books on politics, but I am absolutely salivating over reading a book about Harris' campaign.

It's a mix of lazy people voting by mail not doing so in 2024, illegally cast mail-in votes, and yes, some level of fraud with the vote printer. Based on Hillary's popular vote "win" in 2016, we're possibly looking at millions of illegal votes.

There not being a scamdemic to let options 1 and 2 be a big factor really eliminated millions of votes. The others were eliminated because someone--probably Musk or Thiel--negotiated behind the scenes to shut down the big fraud machine. As much as I hate the guy, picking JD Vance was basically the modern version of a president picking his VP from a critical swing state. It gave Trump a line into some seriously powerful, evil corpo bastards who hold a lot of sway. The corpo bastards who aren't down with Trump probably agreed with stopping the fraud because Trump's reelection is a good relief valve for the years and years of resentment normal people feel over the globohomo world. I think it goes with the reduction of "Trump is a fascist, save Our Democracy" messaging from the Democrats after the first Trump assassination attempt. That was also a crucial moment since most of the powers that be DID NOT want to see Trump get killed because they knew it meant the right will go open season on their guys. Basically, they're cutting their losses and accepting a delay in their plans.

So with the organized fraud machine dead, the only fraud they could do was in down-ballot races to minimize the damage and keep out Trump allies like Kari Lake and low-level local fraud which was mostly caught and stopped by GOP poll observers and their legal team. Least fraudulent election since 2012 when Democrats didn't need fraud since absolutely no one was excited for a RINO Obama-lite loser like Romney.
 
I'm 100% expecting an analysis of where the votes were lost and the cynic in me expects them to be in extreme heavy blue cities and in extreme rural areas where no one would notice an extra few thousand votes. Probably most cities.

I was looking at the number of votes of the last 40 years.

Almost every single election the total votes increased. There is a sharp decline in number of votes between 2020 and 2024. Someone should graph the total number of votes, as well as total votes for each party.

I did it in my head as I was talking with my friend. Kamala got about the same amount of votes as Hillary IIRC, which means she underperformed compared to Hillary. Which considering her abysmal campaign is not surprising. She is about as unlikeable as Hillary, but Hillary looks better in comparison because she displayed competentness and was better at attacking, more ruhtless.

But 2020 also is a really weird year. Trump also got more votes than you expect, more votes than 2024 it seemed (but I did this before all votes were counted. Is this still true?).

To me the purely statistical analysis seems to suggest that 2020 is an anomaly in the 40 years of voting; a slight one on republic side and a giant one on the democratic side.

It may be from having a united anti trump press. It may be because of covid. It may be because of voter fraud. It may be a combination of each of these, which is currently my working theory.
