When was the economy best in recent years?

I feel like it was best during the early to mid 2000s, but I probably didn't have very good perspective then. It was total shit in 2008 and the next few years.

What is recent? Last decade? Trumps first presidency had a brief 8-month period somewhere in the middle where things seemed pretty cool.

The economy of my country was literally never good in my lifetime unfortunately. It was probably the best during the mid 2010s only because we recovered from the Great Recession.
